  • 2014 Wealth Advisors With a Heart
Form-Wealth-rep-advisor-w-heart (September 30, 2014) - WealthManagement.com and Rep. magazine has awarded Tyson Ray the 2014 Advisor With a Heart award for Sustainable Charity for his ongoing work with Children’s World Impact. Each year Rep. honors 10 veteran financial advisors who exemplify the highest standards of professionalism and are active in charitable giving and mentoring. The nominations are evaluated based on the level and depth of commitment of the advisor to altruistic activities outside of his or her practice. A major factor is the advisor’s willingness to commit his time, abilities and passion to a cause—as opposed to merely writing a check. An advisor must demonstrate success in the operation of his or her practice, but that is not the basis for the award. WealthManagement.com editors and writers choose the winners; there are no spreadsheet calculations.

The rankings are based on data provided by the nation’s most productive advisors. Factors considered: assets under management, revenues, regulatory record, quality of practice and philanthropic work. Portfolio performance is not an explicit component because not all advisors have audited results and because performance figures often are influenced more by clients' risk tolerance than by an advisor's investment-picking abilities.
